Welcome home!
After traveling around the world for over six weeks, it was nice to finally get to our final destination. We were greeted at the airport by the whole fam, we then grabbed a bite to eat and headed home for dessert.
It was wonderful to know we'll get to see these faces all the time now.

Cheerio!
We've returned to London to pick up the rest of our luggage and then we will be leaving for good. It's bittersweet to know that a place that holds so many memories for us will never be home to us again.
We had to have a final meal at our favourite Indian restaurant, Spice of India. Of course Ben got his Lamb Biryani and I ordered the most delicious Gosht Kata Masala.
Later that night we meet up with our pal Richard for a walk around the city.
The next morning we made our way to Heathrow in a private car with a chauffeur :) From all of Ben's work trips he had earned enough miles for us both to fly first class to San Francisco. We got to go in a special queue for security and then to a decked out lounge to relax until our flight. At the lounge Ben got a haircut and I had a massage.
We also got to enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast, I will miss a proper full English.
Once on board it was a treat to have decent meals and plenty of drinks and goodies. The seat reclined into a flat bed and I had a nice big screen to watch. We left London in style.

Australia Holiday - Stop off in Dubai
After leaving Australia, we decided we needed a vacation :) So we headed to Dubai! It was nice to have a stopover after saying goodbye to Ben's home and the fam. We started off by walking around old town Dubai.
We took a water taxi across the river to hit some more bazaars.
Our hotel included a shuttle to a private beach, which also had a very lovely park.
We also spent some time catching up with Sunny and his family.
We came across a bowling alley and we decided to have a game.
It was a close one, Ben came back strong in the last frame for the win.
Our favourite sight in Dubai is the Burj Khalifa, it is especially beautiful at night when the fountains are going.

Australia Holiday - Perth
From Canberra we flew to Perth. We were greeted by our favourite Australian nieces and nephews! It was great to be able to spend time with them and have fun together. They are fortunate kids to have a backyard pool, which we all made great use of.
Go Eagles!
We were so excited to be able to get tickets for an Eagles game in Perth; even though they were playing against the Dockers. It was such fun to be able to see the players up close. Watching a game online is so different to seeing it in person, so much goes on.
It was a fun night and what made it even better is that we won!!!
Throughout our time in Perth, we caught up with a handful of friends.
Terry and us went to a casino for dinner and the next day he arranged for us to go canoeing in the Swan River.
Dame-o and Ben had so much fun, they were cracking each other up the whole time.
Ben pretending that he is confessing to Dame-o.
We also got to see Jed in action, he did a great job batting and fielding.
We also made it to Rottnest Island for a day. It was so beautiful to spend the day walking along the beach and through the terrain. At some beaches we were the only ones there; it felt like our own little piece of paradise.
A handful of times we also strolled through downtown Perth. It was nice to just be able to relax and not have to worry about returning to work.
We had a wonderful time hanging out with this gang. What two lucky parents to have such wonderful kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Australia, and especially Perth.
